Pre-Workshop Videos & Activities
This workshop is primarily hands-on practice with iMovie or the Microsoft Video Editor in order to learn to use key features of the software.
Please Note: If you work at UVic and use a UVic Systems managed Windows computer, or are a student using a ChromeBook, you do not have ClipChamp installed on your computer. In order to use ClipChamp you need to request a free personal Microsoft 365 account (if you don’t already have one) which will allow you to use Microsoft’s web-based Office programs (including ClipChamp) for free. Sign up for a free Micrsoft 365 account here!
To participate fully please do the following before the workshop:
It should take you approximately 10 minutes to watch the recommended videos, and an extra 10 minutes to watch the optional videos.
- iMovie Video project walkthrough if you have a Mac laptop (6 min)
- Microsoft ClipChamp Video Editor introduction if you have a Windows laptop (5 min)
