Pre-Workshop Videos & Activities
This workshop is primarily hands-on practice with RStudio in order to learn to use key features of the software. To participate fully, please do the following before the workshop:
Download & Install R and then RStudio:
- Mac Installation:
- Watch the R Language Installation Guide for MacOS (3 min video) (link to installation video) (3 min)
- Download R Language for macOS (link to R language download) Look for the following on the left side of the browser window. Select one based on your Mac’s chip. You can find out which chip your computer has by clicking the apple icon in the top left corner of your screen > About this Mac > Chip. It will say either “M…” or “Intel”.
- Download RStudio IDE for macOS (link to RStudio download)
- Download R Language for macOS (link to R language download) Look for the following on the left side of the browser window. Select one based on your Mac’s chip.
