In-Class Activity: Export & Embed

- Let’s get ready to export your 3D scan by creating a free Sketchfab account.
- On your laptop (or phone), go here and click on the blue Sign Up button on the top left of your laptop screen.
- You can either create a Sketchfab account or use your Facebook or Google account to set it up.
- If you are not already in Qlone, launch the app on your phone:
- You should now be in the Qlone gallery.
- Select the 3D scan that you would like to export.
- Press the Export button at the bottom right of the dialogue box (see photo to right).
- Now select the Sketchfab button on the top row of export options (see photo right and below).
- You’ll now be prompted to log on to your Sketchfab account.
- Your model is now on the Sketchfab website!
- View the Sketchfab website on a laptop:
- Log on to Sketchfab
- On the Sketchfab website, click on the blue face in the top right corner, and then on the Models menu item.
- You should now see your model on the web page.
- Click on your model.
- Copy the URL of the web page which should look something like: https://sketchfab.com/models/727efe0c48d343489d5eaa32d01bcb77
- Embed in a Wordpress website:
- Log on to your Wordpress.com website.
- Create a new blog post and paste the URL for your Sketchfab model into the blog post in the location you would like it to appear.
- Publish your blog post!
