Photoshop for Beginners, why Adobe Photoshop?
Adobe Photoshop is a professional photo editing and graphic design software used for creating, enhancing, and manipulating digital images. It offers powerful tools for photo retouching, color correction, and creating digital art. Key features include layer-based editing, advanced selection tools, and non-destructive adjustments. Photoshop is widely used for tasks like photo restoration, image compositing, logo design, digital painting, and graphic creation. Learning objectives
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Access basic tools and navigate menus
- Use layers
- Do simple edits to a photograph (heal tool, convert to black and white, increase contrast, crop)
- Resize an image for easier online sharing
- Use Place to insert an image
- Use the Eyedropper tool to select a color and use the Paint Bucket tool to add color to an area
- (Optional) Select part of an image
- (Optional) Remove someone/something from a photo
- Some available Photoshop alternatives (e.g., other Adobe software, Canva, open source software)
